Robert Gibbons

Robert D. Gibbons is the Blum-Riese Professor of Statistics and Pritzker Scholar at the University of Chicago where he directs the Center for Health Statistics.  Professor Gibbons is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, the International Statistical Institute, and the Royal Statistical Society, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM).  He has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 7 books.   His statistical work spans the areas of longitudinal data analysis, item response theory, environmental statistics, mental health statistics, and drug safety and has led to thousands of applications in the biological and social sciences.  Professor Gibbons has received life-time achievement awards from the American Statistical Association, the American Public Health Association and Harvard University for contributions to the fields of Statistics and Epidemiology

 

Eren Kurshan

Princeton University, USA

 

Dr. Eren Kurshan is an AI researcher and technology executive focused on building AI systems for large-scale industrial use cases. Kurshan received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a Master's in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. She currently serves as an Executive-in-Residence at Princeton University. Prior to these roles, she led a number of AI/ML and emerging technology programs at Columbia University, J.P. Morgan and IBM T.J. Watson Research Labs. She was a Visiting Fellow at Princeton's Center for Information Technology Policy (2015-2016) and served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University since 2014.

Dr. Kurshan published over 70 peer reviewed technical publications and holds ~200 patents, with approximately 100 granted. She has served as an associate editor of several IEEE and ACM journals and transactions including the Transactions on Emerging Technology, Transactions on Computers and the Journal of Emerging Technologies in Computing. She was the recipient of 2 Best Technical Paper Awards from IEEE and ACM conferences, as well as top inventor and licensing awards from Bank of America and IBM. She received 2 Outstanding Research and Corporate Accomplishment Awards from IBM for her work on system design and optimization and emerging technology development respectively.

Chung-Sheng Li

Genpact, USA

Chung-Sheng Li is currently the lead for Agentic Process Engineering and Intelligent Systems at Genpact. An IEEE Fellow, his career spans research and industry leadership at the intersection of AI and enterprise systems. At IBM Research, he contributed to the Global Technology Outlook and to the Watson program, and conducted early work in business process management and optical interconnects. At TSMC's Corporate Planning Organization, he led the fab digital-twin task force, addressing supply-chain and semiconductor-manufacturing challenges at scale.​

 

His current work develops frameworks for the cognitive enterprise — spanning process formalism, causal reasoning, cognitive digital twins, and AI governance — and is characterized by cross-domain analogical reasoning drawing on semiconductor manufacturing, evidence law, and actuarial science.

Shawn Powers

Southern New Hampshire University, USA

Dr. Shawn Powers (she/her) is the Senior Director of AI Policy at Southern New Hampshire University where she leads institutional governance and policy for the responsible, ethical, and effective use of artificial intelligence in higher education.  Drawing on a background in the arts, philosophy, leadership, and education, Dr. Powers has taught courses in ethics, humanities, and leadership, and frequently presents on ethical AI, AI governance, and the relationship between technology and human flourishing. Her work has been widely published. Dr. Powers is a 2025 EDSAFE Women in AI Fellow.
